Lunélya is a French brand of ceramics / artisanal pottery imagined and created by Ismahane in his workshop located in Alsace. Lunelya pottery is colorful, sparkling and comforting to bring a touch of positivity to your daily life. ♡
The stages of creation: a process made of passion and patience.

Shaping
Lunélya creations are handmade in our workshop located in Alsace. The type of clay we use is earthenware (or stoneware for our larger pieces: see description of product sheets). The first stage of creation is shaping (by hand, on the wheel or by casting technique).

The cooking
After shaping the pieces, it takes around fifteen days to ensure that they are sufficiently dry. They can then proceed to the first cooking stage. Once in the biscuit state, our pieces are ready to be enameled.

The mesh
The enameled pieces must go through a final stage, that of the second firing, which will activate and fix the enamel. It is this firing which will give our earthenware pieces all their shine, their colors and will make them waterproof so that they can be used on a daily basis.
